Every church is driven by something. Tradition, finances, programs, personalities, events, and even buildings can each be the controlling force in a church. But for a church to be healthy it must be a purpose-driven church, built around the five New Testament purposes given by Jesus: Worship, Ministry, Evangelism, Fellowship, and Discipleship. These five purposes, found in the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, provide the foundation for Bethel Assembly. CONNECT: We are wired to crave deep connections with God (worship) and others (fellowship) GROW: We are encouraged to continually grow in our relationship with God, and to help others grow SERVE: We are designed to express the love of God through relevant ministry and service to others GO: We are driven by the Missio Dei (aka Mission of God) to tell those who are far from God about Jesus |
